Time for Espresso
It's not just about the teas at The Three Little Pigs. When we opened we decided that we'd also serve great coffee, and to me great coffee meant Italian. So we invested in an espresso machine and tried various brands of coffee beans before settling on our favourite. So far so good...and I know that to many people coffee is just coffee...we get the occasional compliment and it makes us happy...but the 'icing on the cake' came last month when an Italian customer coffee aficionado, who'd ordered a cappucino said it was really good, and as good as any capuccino he'd drink back home in Italy!

しんじゅく野菜の日
We are proud to be taking part in Shinjuku City's Yasai no Hi (しんじゅく野菜の日) campaign. The idea is to get the citizens of Shinjuku to eat more vegetables and fruit, similar to the 5-a-day campaigns in other countries.
So during September lunch customers will have the option of ordering a vegetable and fruit packed smoothie from the set drink menu.

Tregothnan Tea ( トレゴスナン ティ)
We are pleased to announce the arrival of Tregothnan tea (トレゴスナン ティ) to The Three Little Pigs. Tregothnan tea (トレゴスナン 紅茶) is the only tea to be grown in the UK; Yes, you did read that correctly, the teas are actually grown in Cornwall which probably qualifies it as the warmest part of the country.
We are currently offering the Tregothnan Great British Tea blend by the pot, alongside our selection of teas from Darvilles of Windsor, Taylors of Harrogate and Ringtons.

The Sound from the Top of Hakone-yama
This is the view, and more importantly the sound, from the top of Hakone-yama yesterday morning. Just listen to all those cicadas (セミ), what a noise! Located in Toyama Park, Hakone-yama is the highest point, at 44.6m, in central Tokyo is a short walk away from The Three Little Pigs.

Open Today, Saturday 3rd August
With our other business, englishpool, closed for the summer holiday we have decided to open today. I think it's the first time we've opened the cafe on a Saturday, so if you're in the area please visit!
We open at 9:00am and close at 5:00pm
We'll also be open next Saturday, 10th and the Saturday after, 17th.
Lemon and Chicken Quiche
Something new for the warmer weather, Lemon and Chicken quiche.
Tender chunks of chicken combined with onions and cherry tomatoes, and topped with a scattering of sliced lemon and a few sprigs of rosemary.
